Eastern Tuscany
Il Vigno sits in the highland forests above Caprese Michelangelo — birthplace of Michelangelo — at around 650 metres above sea level. The landscape is wild and forested, with chestnut groves, natural streams and open views across the Tiber valley.
This is not the Tuscany of the wine tours and sunflower fields. It is the Tuscany that most visitors never find — ancient, quiet, and genuinely beautiful.
There is no noise here except birdsong and the wind. There are no crowds. The village of Caprese Michelangelo has a small bar, a butcher and one of the most extraordinary views in Italy.
The farm itself offers everything you need for a complete stay. The outdoor pool is open from May to September. There is a wood-fired sauna available year-round.
