Packing for a Slow Stay in Tuscany: What to Bring for Comfort & Simplicity
Here’s what we recommend bringing for your stay at Il Vigno.
Packing for a remote agriturismo isn’t like packing for Rome or Florence. Here, you won’t need heels or city gear – but you will want comfort, flexibility, and maybe a journal.
1. Clothing: Comfort Over Style
Comfortable walking shoes or boots
Layers: light shirts, sweaters, light jacket (even in summer evenings)
Natural fabrics like cotton and linen
Sunhat or beanie (season depending)
You’ll be walking dirt paths, dining under the stars, and relaxing by the fire – dress for calm, not crowds.
2. For the Senses
A good book or sketchpad
Refillable water bottle
Camera or phone for nature shots
Headlamp or flashlight (our rural nights get dark!)
We encourage digital detox, but you’re welcome to stay connected with our limited Wi-Fi.
3. Seasonal Extras
Spring/Autumn: Waterproof jacket, scarf
Summer: Natural insect repellent, sunglasses
Winter: Wool socks, cozy layers, gloves
4. What You Don’t Need
Dress shoes
Hairdryers (we provide them)
Towels, linens, toiletries – we’ve got them (and they’re organic)
When you pack simply, you arrive fully. Let nature, not your suitcase, set the pace!
Book your stay and start preparing for something beautifully simple.
